How to Contact Google

This wikiHow teaches you how to contact Google support by phone or on the web. Google offers phone, web, and chat support for some, but not all, of its products and services. Google support cannot be contacted directly by email.

Method One of Four:
By Phone
Edit

Calling DirectlyEdit

  1. 1
Call Google's consumer support number. You can call Google support at:
    • United States: +1 855-836-3987
    • United Kingdom: +44 (0)20-7031-3000
    • India: +91-80-67218000
    • Mexico: +52 55-5342-8400
    • Canada: +1 514-670-8700
    • Germany: +49 30 303986300
    • Russia: +7-495-644-1400
  2. 2
Follow the prompts. An automated message will speak a list of menu options. Enter the number on your phone's keypad that corresponds to the menu option that best describes your issue.
  3. 3
Wait to be connected. Depending on your selection and issue, it can take a long time for a Google support representative to be available to address your issue. If you don't have a lot of time to spend waiting on hold, it might be best to request a callback.

Requesting a CallbackEdit

  1. 1
Go to https://support.google.com in a web browser.
  2. 2
Click on a product. Not all products offer phone support, so which product you have an issue with will determine whether or not you can request a callback.
  3. 3
Click Contact Us or Get Help. It's in the top-right corner of the page. If you don't see a Contact Us or Get Help link, you cannot request a callback for the product you selected.
    • For some products, you may need to select an issue before you can request a callback. Pick the option that best fits what you need help with. Not all options will have the option to request a callback.
  4. 4
Click Request callback. This will appear next to a blue phone icon along with a time estimate of how long you can expect to wait until you receive a callback.
  5. 5
Enter your name and phone number.
  6. 6
Enter a description of the problem. Enter a short description of your problem on the line below the Describe your issue heading. Include any error messages you've seen and describe any steps you've taken to solve the issue.
  7. 7
Click Call Me. Google will call the phone number you entered, and depending on the wait time, an agent will be with you shortly.

    • If you are not a member of the press, Google will not respond to any inquiries described in this method.

  • Is it possible that two people can have the same Gmail account?
    Answered by wikiHow Contributor
    • I think it is, because when I try to get into my phone, it sends something to an email account that I've never heard of and can't get a hold of anybody online to help me.
    Thanks! 10 4
  • I use Chrome for my browser. Since 7/25/17 when I click on a link within a web site I get no response other than the spinning arrow. It seems like something Google needs is missing (like a plugin). What can I do?

  • I forgot my Gmail password. How can I recover it?
    Answered by wikiHow Contributor
    • If you try to sign in, there should be a button that says "forgot password". Click on that and if you follow the steps, it should send you an email or text so you can create a new one. Provided you supplied a back up email or a telephone number, you should receive your password via another site.
    Thanks! 44 173
